But after two rough economic years, a host of lingering costs and problems from township administrations past and a future that might not get better fast, it seems as if no option is off the table when discussing the township’s operations for 2011. Recently, outsourcing the trash service has come up in nearly every annual budget discussion. Township staff is working to determine how much both services cost so they can be compared with the received bid amounts. The option to outsource two of its largest public-works and parks responsibilities will likely surface during budget talks over the next month or so. Radnor Township has sought and received bids for its trash and recycling collection and grounds maintenance of all Radnor Township School District-owned properties, two services it provides in-house.
